Dr. JoAnna Pufnock

Dr. Pufnock is devoted to providing exceptional care at her Manhattan NYC practice, NYC Dental Lounge, located in Midtown Manhattan. She has created a dental home practice with a spa-like experience, one where patients enjoy their visits and receive the very best in personalized care.

Raised in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York, Dr. JoAnna Pufnock worked as a dental hygienist before becoming a general dentist. Her unique background provides her with almost two decades of experience in dentistry.

She earned her Associate’s Degree in Applied Science, specializing in Dental Hygiene from Monroe Community College in 2008. She then completed her Bachelor’s in Biology at the University at Buffalo, graduating cum laude in 2011. Dr. Pufnock continued her studies at the University of Buffalo, obtaining her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2015.

She completed her residency training at New York Presbyterian Columbia University in 2016 and expanded her expertise by completing an Implantology Fellowship from New York University in 2020 and a Botox and Filler Course from the American Academy of Facial Esthetics in 2022.

Dr. Pufnock is an active member of the American Dental Association, and local New York County Dental Society, serving as a Board member since 2023. She was Chair of the New Dentist Committee from 2020- 2023 and continues as is now an Advisory Member. She also takes part in the Give Kids a Smile Committee and Community Outreach Committee.

Through founding and operating NYC Dental Lounge, Dr. Pufnock works to elevate her patients’ dental experience to make it relaxing and comfortable. She provides top-tier dental care, and her patients look forward to their appointments with her.

When she’s not transforming smiles, Dr. Pufnock enjoys running, exploring new restaurants and coffee shops, and cooking dishes from diverse cuisines.
